Krav Maga is a self-defense system that focuses on real-world situations and efficient counter-attacks. Based on simple principles and instinctive movements, the Krav Maga system is designed to teach self-defense in the shortest time possible. Krav Maga teaches how to defend against common chokes, grabs, and bear hugs, as well as weapons such as guns, knives and sticks. An important element of training is learning how to function and react smartly during the stress and shock of a violent encounter.
Pedro Sauer Academy offers Krav Maga as part of its core martial arts training program.
Krav Maga training focuses on skills that are simple, direct, and repeatable. Students learn how to recognize threats, respond quickly, and make decisions under stress.
Training includes:
Combatives
Basic stance, movement, punches, palm strikes, elbows, knees, kicks, and striking combinations.
Self-Defense
Practical responses to common attacks such as grabs, chokes, headlocks, pushes, and close-range threats.
Ground Fighting
How to protect yourself on the ground, move under pressure, create distance, and stand up safely.
Weapons Awareness
Basic awareness and defensive concepts for serious threat situations. These are taught with safety, control, and realism.
The training is built around core Krav Maga principles: neutralize the immediate threat, avoid injury, use natural reactions, respond decisively when needed, create space, escape when possible, and use only the force necessary for the situation.
Good self-defense is more than physical technique. It also requires mindset, judgment, and restraint.
Our Krav Maga training emphasizes three areas:
Mindset
Awareness, confidence, staying calm under pressure, recognizing danger early, and avoiding unnecessary conflict.
Physical Skills
Simple, direct techniques practiced in a controlled environment so students can build confidence safely over time.
Judgment
Students are taught to think seriously about de-escalation, reasonable force, and leaving once the threat is no longer present.
This is not legal advice. It is part of responsible self-defense training.
