Program Description

An energetic evening Muay Thai class for kids ages 6-15 focused on striking technique, conditioning, and controlled sparring, taught in a safe, structured setting at Pedro Sauer Academy in Herndon, VA.

Class Format

Typical classes include a combination of technical instruction, pad work, partner drills, and cardio training — building real striking skill and endurance through the principles of Muay Thai: The Art of Eight Limbs.

Weekly Schedule

Youth Muay Thai classes take place on the following days:

  • Tuesday 5:10 PM – 6:00 PM
  • Thursday 5:10 PM – 6:00 PM

Lineage

Our Muay Thai curriculum is rooted in the teachings of Ajarn Chai Sirisute, founder of the World Thai Boxing Association, the oldest and most respected Thai Boxing organization in the United States, and the man who first brought Thai Boxing to American students in the 1960s.

Age Group

The youth Muay Thai program is designed for kids ages 6-15.

No prior martial arts or Muay Thai experience is required — beginners are always welcome!

What Kids Learn

Children learn fundamental Muay Thai techniques and age-appropriate training skills in a safe, structured, and encouraging environment designed to build confidence and support long-term development.

  • Punches, kicks, elbows, and knees

  • Pad work and partner drills

  • Cardio conditioning and endurance

  • Defensive technique and timing

  • Controlled sparring

  • Focus, discipline, and respect

As students progress, they develop strong technical fundamentals, improved fitness, greater self-confidence, and the and the discipline to set goals, overcome challenges, and continue improving over time.

Add BJJ for a Complete Foundation

Youth Muay Thai classes and Youth Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes complement one another by developing both stand-up striking and ground-based grappling skills.

Many of our students choose to train in both programs to become more well-rounded martial artists.
